NEW! Maybelline Olive Martini Eyeshadow Quad: Review + Swatches

Here's a look at another eyeshadow quad from Maybelline's new (and Limited Edition) "Scene on the Runway" Fall 2012 collection!

The Olive Martini quad features a light peachy shade, an icy light mint, a blue/brown duo-chrome, and a deep mahogany brown shade. I was most excited for the two middle shades: the icy mint and the duo-chrome! These two shades are very unique, especially for shadows from the drugstore. All shades are fairly shimmery and had great pigmentation except for the highlight shade. I found this shade to be a bit sheerer than the rest, but it should still work well as a soft highlight. 

The amazing duo-chrome shade in this palette reminds me a lot of Club by MAC, which I don't own but have always wanted. This quad retails for around $10 at drugstores (try to score it on sale though) and is Limited Edition, so pick it up sooner rather than later if you're interested!

Here's what the quad looks like on the eyes:

I used the lightest shade as a highlight under the brow and in the inner corner. The icy blue is used on the first 1/3 of the lid. The due-chrome brown is used on the remaining 2/3 of the lid, and the darkest brown is used to define the outer v on the last 1/3 of the lid.
